Her focus always being on business relevance of the learning, she developed a tool to measure how learning was transferred to the workplace, which was adopted across NatWest.

As the NatWest Group decided to take a new approach to learning, Kate was selected to manage the launch of the first high profile development centre. With a team of 33 facilitators to manage, responsibility for a cost centre, an operational plan to develop, Kate is more than aware of the challenges of running a business unit and the people management responsibilities. This has placed her in an ideal position when facilitating to share her knowledge and expertise with others. She can relate to the practical challenges faced in the 'real world'. Her style is very much about application and making a difference, bringing theory to life.

Change has also been a constant feature of Kate's career, both in terms of working as a consultant on change programmes and managing change within her team. Kate was responsible for development of a culture change programme within the finance department at HSBC and the successful implementation of new appraisal processes at HSBC Asset Finance.

Kate now works as a freelance consultant, her clients include: Royal Bank of Scotland, Government Office for the South West, HSBC and the Rubicon Group.

Her areas of particular interest include performance management, presentation skills, influencing, leadership, coaching and team development. Kate has a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Development and is a Business Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
