Profile
Catherine started her career as an extremely successful sales person and manager with the General Accident Group (now CGNU), in their estate agency division. Her passion for developing others led her to accept a project to create their nationwide induction programme (still in use today).

Having 'caught the bug', she moved into their Training and Development team in 1996, responsible for the South and South West Divisions, and designing management development and sales management programmes for rollout across the UK. During that time she was the first ever member of support staff selected be sent on a sales incentive holiday, recognition for a workshop which increased mortgage services leads by 20%.

Her next move was to jump industry, joining Blockbuster Entertainment Ltd. As a part of the multibillion dollar conglomerate Viacom, Blockbuster rank amongst the top ten retailers in the world. Working closely with a director to drive the people development strategy, she worked closely with senior and middle field managers to achieve business improvement.

Some of the greatest value she added during this time was through the design and rollout of national HR policies and Procedures - including developing the performance management and appraisal skills of the store and district management development populations. She used her skills in executive coaching, workshops and team building events to develop personal and management skills, including specific work on leadership, coaching, succession planning and trainer training.

Whilst retained as a Development Consultant to HSBC's Commercial Banking Division, she spent 2 years as a member of their senior management team, providing consultancy support to the General Manager and his team. She was responsible for all the training and development needs of around 600 people, and designed and delivered workshops including senior management presenting for maximum impact; personal impact coaching; personal development planning and career workshops;

Now working full time as a freelance consultant, she is a Business Practitioner and Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, and the only person in the West Midlands to be licensed by Dr Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP to train others. Catherine holds licenses for various psychometric tools, particularly favouring the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and Thomas International Personal Profile Analysis Report.
