The garden is a major part of life at Mazey Cottage, which can be divided into three distinct areas.
Firstly the walled cottage garden, a riot of colour through-out the year with over 120 varieties of roses.
A cascade of Sally Holmes roses down gradual steps leads into the valley garden dissected by the Carminowe River. A woodland path winds through the native mixed wood, a riot of colour in the spring, past a large natural pond, crossing bridges leading into the valley garden. Here there are various areas ranging from shrubbery beds, orchard, nectar beds and kitchen garden.
The garden has been the Feature Garden of the Month in both Cornwall Life and Cornwall Today magazines.
Marion and Peter work for the National Gardens Scheme and open their garden for charity. Click here to visit the Carminowe Valley Garden web site.
