 Rules & Regulations |
The fishery regulations are in place to safeguard the welfare of the fish and their natural habitat. We strive to ensure that water quality and fish health are of the highest order. This philosophy extends to the quality of the environment around the lakes; the pathways, the woodland and bank side vegetation.

Please assist us to maintain these high standards by abiding by the following regulations.

Permits must be obtained before fishing commences
Absolutely no litter or line to be discarded, no tins or glass containers allowed on the bank
No Keepnets
Each angler must have an adequate landing net
All nets must be dipped in the net dip provided prior to fishing
All fish must be landed with a landing net and unhooked in the landing net - carp mats recommended
No Carp Sacs whatsoever allowed on the site
Barbless hooks only - biggest hook size 10
No lure fishing
No bait boats or similar
No carp sacks allowed on site
No artifical baits
No nuts, beans, chickpeas, seed mixes or meat products of any kind.
All feed pellet must be purchased from the fishery, no using any other feed pellet products
No fixed "method", all ledger or feeder rigs must be free running with at least a 12" hook length
One swim per angler, one rod or pole per permit
Do not use hook lengths heavier than main line
Do not leave baited rods unattended
Do not handle fish with a cloth, wet or dry
No fires,no alcohol, no dogs, no cigarette butts
No using the fishery grounds as a toilet (use the toilet provided)
No parking on the grass or earth areas, please use the car parks provided
Please note the fishery management cannot take any resposibilty for theft, damage or personal injury
The fishery management reserve the right unconditionally to ask any angler to leave the lakes.

Permitted Baits and Limits
Bread - ½ loaf
Maggot - caster 4 pints combined limit
Hemp 2 pints (1 Kilo)
Worms 2 pints (1 Kilo)
Ground bait - 1 Kilo in Billy's Pool, 2 Kilos in Bill's Pool (no trout pellet mixes and no halibut mixes)
Feed pellet 4mm - 2 pints, 6mm - 2 pints
Hook pellet of your choice - ½ pint maximum
Sweet corn 2 x 340g tins
¼ Pint of paste is permitted
